Happy holidays all,
I work for Google and on GMB in particular. I recently discovered this forum a few weeks ago, and I've been really impressed with the wealth of knowledge within this community.
Given there are a lot of GMB experts here, I'd like to just ask point blank if there are any features or changes that you'd like to see us make in the product next year? [Disclaimer: I can't promise we'll implement all suggestions, but we'll certainly do our best to make any reasonable improvements.]
I look forward to hearing your suggestions!
Morgan

I'm pretty psyched. I know this is probably a small win, maybe not very exciting.
Used FAQ schema markup on a page at https://www.faceforwardmedical.com
I had to play around with various searches to get it to populate in SERPS, and it took over a week, but still, pretty damn satisfying.
Check out how much real estate it takes up!
Anyone else have success with this?
Any rhyme or reason to when google serves up the rich results?

Hey folks, just wanted to share a free Chrome extension for busting spam on Google Maps.Β Getting rid of GMB spam is an easy way to improve your own search visibility.Β
There are all kinds of spam -- whether it's lead gen operators "ranking and renting" GMB listings, or companies opening a fake second location, these tactics hurt businesses that are playing by the rules.
Google offers the Redressal Form as a support channel for spam.Β To have spam removed, however, you'll need some proof.

We're thinking about a few improvements to the way GMB works for 3Ps/Agencies/Chains--essentially anyone managing ~10 or more listings.
At a high level, the changes we're considering fall into the following categories:
At a high level, the changes we're considering fall into the following categories:
- ) Bulk actions: the ability to update listing information, add photos/logos and create posts across multiple listings.
2.) Better notifications: sending emails and push notifications for updates to your profiles, new reviews, etc. Potentially even an alerts center in-product with any issues that may exist with your listings.
3.) Improved analytics: summaries across all listings in addition to the single listing report that we provide today.
Would any of these improvements be useful to you? Are there other things we should be thinking about for folks managing a large number of listings?
I look forward to your feedback!

Hey great people,
I got my first client in the mortgage industry and I am currently looking for some help. The goal is to get at least the top 10 in many local keywords, while the competition is very bad and can do that without any problem.
So after doing some keyword research, competition analysis, checking backlink profiles, etc.
The only thing I struggle with is creating content. I have NEVER EVER written any piece of content since we had a writer in our company. I was the one who determined the important and most efficient keywords.
I am seeking some advice on this. Where can I get great content? 500 words would be the bare minimum, and around 1500 maximum.Β
Thanks,
Leonardo

It's crazy how often I see businesses that literally never reply to reviews on Google My Business.
Additionally, there are quite a few businesses that just reply to negative reviews, but don't respond at all to positive reviews.
Do you reply to every review on GMB?
And if so, do you think it has any impact on rankings?
